Ravindra Thakur started this school for the underprivileged kids in Damani, Panvel - a small village situated at the top of a mountain.

These kids are parented by farmers and construction workers who have no access to quality education and nutrition.

The school provides education to 288 tribal kids from 6th-10th standard.

This school is privately run by Ravindra Thakur sir, who teaches at a government school in Kalamboli and then uses the salary for funding his school where he teaches too.

The school is surrounded by multiple villages and the students travel by trekking for 5 kilometres to reach the school everyday. Yes, life is not easy there.

And 20% of these students stay in nearby orphanages.

Also, the school takes care of everything including daily lunch, stationary, books, uniform, school maintenance, job opportunities and salaries of the external staff. Iit costs him 1-1.25L per month.
